Late Dr. Appasaheb alias Sa. Re. Patil was the founder chairperson of Shri Datta Shetakari Sahakari Sakhar Karakhana Ltd. Charitable Trust. His vision was to educate the village students and to make them self-independent. With this vision he established a polytechnic college in the year 2010.

Further, he wished to start the degree program, but unfortunately, he passed away in the year 2015. To complete his dream is my responsibility as his son. So, by the very hard work, support of Director, Principal and Vice Principal, all faculties and staff we aimed to start the under graduate course and we succeed in it. Finally, in the year 2024 we started the UG program.

As the both polytechnic and degree running in the same campus, we decided to change the name of the college. After lot of discussion and brain storming sessions it is decided that the name of college should content Institute of Technology as it represents both diploma and degree. As it is started in the memory of my late father Appasheb alias Sa. Re. Patil, the institute name is decided as Appasaheb alias Sa. Re. Patil Institute of Technology, Shirol With help of this institute we opened the doors of higher education to the village students. I appeal the students and parents to take this opportunity and be the part of global competition.
