Dr. Appasaheb Alias Sa.Re.Patil Institute of Technology Shirol formerly known as Shree Datta Polytechnic College Shirol was established in the year 2010.The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra. The institute is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) Mumbai & Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University,Lonere,Raigad.

The institute is located at Shree Datta Shetkari Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd.Shirol in Kolhapur District.It is one of the famous Institutes in Maharashtra.

The campus includes fully natural greenery with about 400m running track & sports facility, Medical facility, Hostel, Bank & ATM, Canteen, Guest house, Nursary & gymkhana.

The institute serves not only the purpose of making available technical education to students from rural area but also offers the chance of become Engineer for the poor students in rural sector & this was the main purpose of our Ex.Chairman, MLA, Late Dr. Appasaheb Alias Sa.Re.Patil.
